Partners Join Forces To Create Destination Nottingham
Wednesday, July 8th, 2009There will be a united showing from the city of Nottingham at this year’s Event UK with Nottingham Conferences, Experience Nottinghamshire, The Nottingham Hoteliers Association, and Nottingham Arena partnering for the first time to create a Destination Nottingham area at the show.
The collaboration aims to promote Nottingham and the surrounding region as a first class destination for conducting and winning business. It will also form part of a wider campaign encompassing a rebranding of ‘Keep Britain Talking’ to ‘Keep Nottingham Talking’; highlighting the multi million pound economic contribution that the meetings and events industry brings to Nottingham and the East Midlands.

Nottingham Conferences has joined a significant agreement that will see it become closer to the business opportunities presented by the Olympic Games set to take place in London 2012.
Destination London, the trends report from ExCeL London has received a welcome endorsement from the Mayor of London ahead of its launch at IMEX (26th – 27th May 09) later this month.
Nottingham Conferences is launching a year long awareness campaign highlighting the million pound benefit of holding conferences and events in the Nottingham and East Midlands region. The brand representing the University of Nottingham’s conference facilities will have brought £64.3 million* to the local economy by the end of 2008, a figure it is looking to increase in 2009 through a series of sales and marketing activities supported by a fully integrated PR campaign. Planned tactics will not only demonstrate the benefits of Nottingham as a business destination, but will highlight the importance of a local support network bringing and keeping business in the local community.
