Lime Venue Portfolio has secured the high profile new home of Cardiff City Football Club and Cardiff Blues Rugby Club into its ever expanding venue collection. The new stadium and purpose built conference & banqueting suite is due to open in July 09 and joins the Millennium Stadium and Swansea City’s Liberty Stadium, under the brands strong presence in South Wales.

On opening, the new venue will boast one of the largest conference and event facilities in Wales, all superbly fitted with a dedicated events entrance and reception. The stadium also has a stylish four star finish to give guests a premium feel. Lime Venue Portfolio, part of the Compass Group, will also ensure the finest food and beverage will be available to every visitor.

“Cardiff City Stadium will be a dramatic banqueting setting and we’ve created menu’s that will add grandeur to a large event as well as quality and inspiration to smaller meetings,” continued Louise Amphlett. “We will also be offering entirely locally sourced menu options to ensure that visitors to the new stadium are able to take a taste of Wales with them.”

Within the new stadium, two large rooms with a clear ceiling height of 3.8 metres are able to seat 750 and 550 for banqueting and conferences; both are equipped with dramatic floor to ceiling windows with views of the pitch and the Leckworth Hills. These rooms are supplemented with extensive executive boxes / breakout rooms, all fitted with wi-fi and high speed broadband. The stadium also boasts large and flexible exhibition space and, because it is part of the stadium, access to in excess of 1000 free car parking spaces.
