The Bar Convent is located in historic York in North Yorkshire within a fine Georgian building dating from 1760; it is home to the Sisters of the Institute of the Blessed Virgin Mary (IBVM). The building houses a bed and breakfast B&B guest house (25 beds), a cafe, gift shop, museum and a modern conference centre with excellent conference and meeting room facilities.
